Celebrating the 20th of Knut

In Sunne and a few other places in Sweden, we celebrate the 20th of Knut as Christmas last day. It takes place on January 13th, twenty days after Christmas.

On this day the children dress up in funny clothes and masks.
They go out together and walk around to the neighbours and ask for candy.

At preeschool the children make their own masks and dances around the Christmastree to bid farewel to Christmas.

The tradition is that we throw out the Christmastree after the dance.
